My problem with .3 isn't even the climax, it's the ending. I thought the acoustic part was going to build to an amazing part in the conclusion, but it just goes back to the same bass line with a bit more distortion. The acoustic part itself is really cool though

Prodigal really shows a lot of influence from Pink Floyd creating that atmosphere, and I also find it a bit close to Genesis' 'Get 'em Out By Friday' near the chorus. Great song, though.

Blackest Eyes was the tune that got me into Porcupine Tree in the first place, even if I'm clearly not as much of a fan as most guys here.

That was one of my first PT songs, too.

Arriving Somewhere But Not Here was my first song, and that was when I was eleven years old and Deadwing just came out :]

Blackest Eyes was my first song. Not one of their best songs but it still rules.

I knew and liked some of their stuff before I really got into them. As far as I remember, my first contact with Wilson's work was through Blackwater Park. ... Then some time later my drumming teacher got me the notes to Sound of Muzak and that motivated me to finally listen to this album in full. That's quite some time ago now, but this is still a beautiful and engaging album.

I think my first experience was listening to FOABP in my brother's car as we drove to see Rush in 2008, on my last day of middle school.
