About time someone asked this, it's kinda weird how no one did in almost 5 years... Nope, not intentionally at all, although I was a lot into AFI when I joined, so it may have been subconscious; I just like the word, haha. The username just randomly popped in my head at one point and I can associate both parts of it with a few things as I explained in that username origin thread.

If you're listening to this expecting industrial music, you're doing it wrong. This is very poppy post-hardcore.
Vocals take getting used to but it's worth the time imo. Havok is an amazing and unique vocalist, and he puts a ton of passion into these songs.

i did not expect any industrial here lol
usually i cant stand this wimpy kinda nasal vocal style but lets see. he def has more variety in his voice than the usual vocalist with that style

Nasal, yes, but hardly wimpy. His vocals can pack a real punch. Plus, the songs here are all really good, vocals aside.

ye the instrumentation is massive, i like that a lot.
i dont mean wimpy in his delivery but his overall timbre i guess. dont really know how to describe it but there are tons of vocalists from america who sing like this and i cant stand it
