by technical i'm assuming you mean more melodic riffs? idk this album is def not filled with simple parts. they've said this album and life/less were really them trying to write material they would be able to really kill on stage and i think it has been a success, particularly this album. this is the best they've ever sounded easily and the most unique sound they've ever had as well.

The riffs on Last City weren't exactly technical, but they were more complex than the guitar work on any of their other albums. Worn Path and Trilogy I being good examples.
