i must admit some songs on the new album are quite messy. "No Nature" is kinda going nowhere until the last minute which is pretty good but it only gets better after that rather weak beginning

You bring up a great point here. I think this album will determine whether people want to hear a rather unstructured A Lot Like Birds, or if they prefer the more logical 4-minute tunes.

Rain, No Place is very fun from an instrumental standpoint. I'm surprised you don't feel that way about tunes like Next to Ungodliness and Recluse.
