I actually hate the first track and fairly enjoyed Subterranean Blood and Astral Blood. :-P The

former begins as fairly straightforward blast-driven BM which is always what I liked, and the latter

at least tried to emulate the epic Cascadian sound. They both sorta peter out in their second

halves, though. Not awful, but definitely sub par for what I expected from the band. The static on

'Subterranean makes me angry, though. And the last track wasn't awful, per se, but it was

definitely a waste of space on this album. If they'd gone all dark ambient drone, then it

wouldn't have been as bad.

I can't find the article. What did they say they wanted their next release to sound like? For some reason "dark ambient" come to mind, although I don't know why.
