Nice dig Ocean, jammed Homogenic last night for the first time in a long time, had a good cry about the album; Would've jammed Vulnicura but Homogenic is just more concise listen.

Yeah they're fantastic. '70s Brian Eno (who produced this, Heroes, and Lodger) is pretty similar.

its been two years since i sat down on the couch after hearing about his passing and listening to blackstar in its entirety. what a powerful experience. binged his music for the next couple weeks after that, took a shining to this one in particular. something about the magic of sound and vision, the manic depression of what in the world, the otherworldly melancholy of a new career. all came together to make one of the most beautiful albums of all time.

They definitely don’t make them like this anymore. People believe they’ve got it in them to create this stuff but they don’t come close.

Maybe the fact that they're trying to replicate this kind of success and longevity in the first place is the issue

how ya doing Zak

Ello mate.

I’m good, really good which means there will undoubtedly be something catastrophic lurking round the corner. Hope you’re well son.

Good lad. How you finding it? Enlightening, enriching, broadening horizons or is it full of facile pampered cunts?
