Vol. 3 is the only Slipknot album worth a shit though. Far less angsty and better musically than the first two, which are ok if you're an angry teenager I guess.

I agree Vol.3 has better compositions, but you can't put a tag on just how fucking amazing and emotionally charged this album is. Which is probably why this marginally wins being their best for me.

Liplop often gets a bad rep because some the "maggot" fandom is pretty ecstatic and frustratingly so. The band gets praised as the best thing since sliced bread and heaviest since Dino Cazares' arse. Thus, they drive those with an alternative viewpoint to similar extremes.
