Hybrid Theory still has some oomph left in it, but this album is a turd, and I don't often use that word.

It definitley hasn't dated well.

I actually don't understand how people are liking this at all. There's nothing memorable on this whole album.

Blackout and Wretches and Kings are decent enough, but yeah 123xyz

Blackout kicks so much ass, but the singing at the end is awful.

I don't understand what compelled Linkin Park to make an album that revolves around techno so much.

Why not? They've got to be pretty damn rich by now and people will still go to their concerts even if their new album sucks (look at all the nostalgia acts that do it), so why not make music that you want to make?

I think their reach just extended their grasp on this album (and MTM for the most part). They just need to dial it back a bit and it should be pretty good.

I like a lot of what they did on this album, but I do think that they were a little bit tunnel visioned. They should have incorporated more of their past instead of focusing solely on this very limited idea.

Yeah, I want more Hahn and Shinoda, not Chester Bonoton.

I find myself liking parts of this, only to absolutely hate it moments later. Gotta at least give them props for eliciting any such dichotomy.

Yeah. I only really dislike the final song... I think it's the final song, it's the acoustic one near the end. So, what would your rating be?

Probably just a middle-of-the-road 2.5, judging it off its stand alone merits.

Probably a 2 taking their back albums into consideration.

I've never been a big fan of these guys, so maybe that's the difference. Their debut is cool because it was kind of different for its time. I didn't like the second album because it felt like each track was a copy from the debut. Screw Minutes to Midnight (ok it's not terrible).

MTM is actually my favourite.

I like a few songs from MtM, but when I'm in the mood for that kind of music there are other bands that I turn to (Like RED).

Any Red album beats up MTM and steals its lunch money.
