Definitely for most people, but it's cool how this band has fans with diverse rankings of their albums. That's how you know they're amazing.

All of their albums are amazing, i wouldnt put anything theyve put out below a 4, except for their EPs. I think its time for me to jam their discography again. [2]

Absence > Oceanic > Panopticon > Wavering Radiant > Celestial, imo (that's not saying a whole lot because they all destroy.

Can't fathom how Celestial is better than absence haha. Different strokes I guess.

This is #1 for me but I'll refrain from ordering them. It's pretty much the opposite of everyone from there.

Celestial is a pretty far cry from the rest of their LPs imo and it's still an above-average 4

Absence sounds like U2 did a post metal album.

I'd say Oceanic > Panopticon > Wavering Radiant > Celestial > Absence

Celestial is better for me in a way that albums and time can link up. I was a massive Isis fan after I got celestial that was my first Isis record. SO I felt the hype of waiting of the new release that was Oceanic and Panopticon and blow away both times. Then absence just lacked that Kick, Sounded like a weak version of isis to me and that followed. Just never felt anything after that. All sounded weak and Just didnt connect. Plenty of peeps whos opinions i hold high love WR for example. Just different strokes indeed. I feel with Isis though theres definitely a pre Absence and post absence type of fan (which also ties in with pre tool and post tool tours I think) No one is right or wrong of course.

good way to look at it ^ I love everything they've done, Absence and WR not quite as much as Oceanic and Panopticon but it's all gravy

Panopticon has the most powerful build ups in their catalog save for Weight. Can't decide which song has the best build up. I think Altered Course is one of the best instrumentals of all time.

Haha U2 wishes they could write something as great as Garden Of Light xD

And best buildup goes to Grinning Mouths. No contest.
