Hmmmm this is a odd little ditty, I like side A much more than side B (the first three tracks are some of their best material ever).
Geddy is on fire this entire album though, my lord. Good stuff.

I agree that side B is more varying in quality compared to side A, but The Weapon and Losing It are two of their best songs ever imo.
Not that far from a 5 overall for me, on the right day.

I agree.

I don't really care for The Weapon unfortunately, but Losing It is great.

There are some amazing songs, a couple awesome ones, but there are also plenty of stellar ones too.

That's a lot of songs for this record
"I don't really care for The Weapon unfortunately"
Not even the explosion of the solo with that *chef's kiss* guitar tone? I find it emotional in a way

Calculating dude listen to the live version on Grace Under Pressure Live. I think you may like it a little more than the studio version, simply because they made it fun....

Losing It might be the best one in here along with Chemistry

@Sab: Unfortunately not :[
@Titan: Your hypothesis was correct, much preferred the live version. Better mix for the song and it is just a joy to watch Neil and Alex play. Highlights more how insane their chops are.
While Losing It is great I can't call it the best here because I think they could have done even more with the concept. When the violin and guitar harmonise in the solo they drop that musical idea really fast instead of carrying that solo another 30 seconds to make the end of that section even more cathartic and I think the intro could have been extended as well.

Not only is Digital Man my favorite song on this album, but it's also a top 10 Rush song for me overall. Just incredible.

The little synth 'nyu nyuuu's in the guitar solo on that song are so fun.

I suppose that means that, at least, we agree on that violin/guitar solo being amazing

The lyrics on Losing It are existential crisis inducing too, fantastic.

Can we talk about Countdown? Entire song gives me the tingles…

It's excellent yeah, picks up the prog pace too. I don't have any proper reason for not loving it more tbh, it just happens that I always underrate it for some reason. A certain lack of catchiness vocals-wise perhaps? That said the synth parts are so fun

Countdown is a great song agreed, and perhaps I underrate it too, for some reason

This grew on me even more, especially The Weapon. Bad ass album.

Put on your 3D glasses!
That must've been so awesome at the time. 3D was such a craze, and the boys incorporated it into their live show.
