i actually listened to ctts for the first time in like 6 months the other day
what draws me to ctts is how they have evolved the "call and response" vocal style into an exchange between the two vocalists where they build upon the others part, instead of just reacting to it.
also, i like either really diy production or if youre going to have good production, at least experiment sonically, and they do. i similarly like the shape of punk to come for this reason.
and also, while their musicianship may be sloppy, what holds their sound together isnt the drums. in fact, its not held together very well, they do the whole "chaos becomes beauty through moments of synchronization" thing
