he doesnt have the vocal creativity on this album to carry an entire song actually singing, on all but maybe 25% of the album the vocal melodies are just dont work for me, they're forgetable at best. i think the problem is he's trying to do to much and the melody is just too busy to be pleasing most of the time.

Bat Country and Beast and the Harlot are soooo bad.

It's not so much that its not like their old stuff for me, cos I'm not a big fan anyway ...far from it, it's just a bit dodgy musically IMO to say the least.
And I would actually say MIA, Strength Of The World, Betrayed and Seize The Day are the bad tracks on this album. Bat Country is OK and Beast And The Harlot is one of the better.
