Ah nice. Oh yeah I remember now, you said this in Johnny's review. Well, they're all worth it anyway. For different reasons of course, the debut for instance is so incredibly dark and claustrophobic, especially compared to this one.

Man, just how good is Cherry-Coloured Funk?!

I know! Such a superb opener. The chorus on "Fotzepolitic" brings the butterflies, man.

Just imagine a night drive through town with this after a summer's day with the family. Damn it, summer is so far away for me now haha.

Oh yeah that sounds totally perfect. Or blast it through speakers at home, lying in the garden outside (if you have one, I don't but it sounds amazing). Summer's far away here too, especially on this cold and wet day. Agreed on Fotze too. Album is just too good, cannot ever stop choosing highlights hahaha!

Crazy to me that people can give a rating on (what sounded like) one listen, a 5 rating what’s more. I’ve listened to this daily for the last two weeks or so and still don’t know what to rate it. I’m leaning towards a (very strong) 4 though.

Agreed with Boney, you can't be slapping 5s around willy nilly like that. Respect the process.

Think this started at a 3.5 or low 4 for me and gradually worked its way up

Sure, I'll admit I can be pretty hasty. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of an amazing first listen. In my defence though, this may drop half a point at most. Four listens in and it's only gotten better. If I were to write a review I'd be taking things far more seriously.

But I do get it though. There's nothing like knowing an album for a year or two and one day having "that moment" with it, so y'all right. I do think this is pretty much perfect, I should probably hold back until I've grown some connection with it.

Everyone rates differently anyway, so it's not that big of a deal to me. I personally am also very conservative with 4.5s and 5.0s for records I don't know yet, but that is not the only way to do it of course.

The new Tennis album has a song called Echoes that's like a Cocteau Twins lite song and I love it

That breakdown toward the end of "Iceblink Luck" is one of the most euphoric musical passages to ever grace my ears.
