i think the problem i ran into with screamo is that i was always finding out about bands and listening to them, but none of them were doing anything i had never heard before so i lost interest. heads and heads are a perfect example. if i feel like hearing that sound, raein/la quiete do it better, so why bother?

when i still listen to screamo it's pretty much just loma/beau navire, orchid, funeral diner, june paik, etc.
i would say in general that melodic style isn't all that interesting, similar to melodic hardcore.
