Album was a good end to the original storyline. The transition from The Reaping into the title track is m/

"They sure don't write like that anymore for sure"

Dude... every time EVERY TIME I listen to that I get chills.
"They sure don't write like that anymore for sure"
TUC was good, but man I wish I could get a glimpse of the shit the post-hardcore shit they put out in their SSTB and Shabutie days. Everything post-NWFT is missing that edge.

In defense of TCBTS album, it was originally going to be a solo album for Claudio but he decided to make it a Coheed album instead, which is why it's a bit of a departure from the rest of their discog.
Has there been any word on TUC 2? They planned to make 5 albums of that 'series' in total.

The only article out there is one about how Claudio is 75% done writing it (this was back in the spring) and that he was rethinking the opening track because it's named "Hallelujah Quarantine" or something.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has caused Sanchez to wonder if he should rewrite the song [Hallelujah Quarantine], as its content may be considered controversial due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting worldwide shut downs at the moment."
Don't pussy out, Claudio
Also their FB page recently announced $80 action figures. This band is basically an indie-Marvel now

I love this band, and I love the potential story... but man does Claudio need someone else in his corner to help him edit/ come up with ideas.

I thought the Deftones and RTJ themed beers looked pretty cool, but this is just getting out of hand:

This and In Keeping Secrets are the peak of their career. Plenty of jams even for people who can't really handle the greater Coheed universe

Aside from the Vaxis saga and 85% of Color Before The Sun, literally every Coheed album has jams for everyone if they take the time to listen to it. The elephant in the room has always been Claudio's vocals; Cedric from Mars Volta is also a blatantly similar vocalist in this regard. You either think the guy is God (like me) or you think he's a harpy permanently opening bags of chips directly in your ear drums.
Putting the vocal discussion aside, Coheed are objectively S-tier in the instrumental department considering the type of music they play.
