yeah man they announced a couple south american festivals and mike patton's back in his "we are announcing dates but NO ALBUM" mode so fingers are crossed that they're coming back to the u.s.

Apparantly, they're holding off on a new album because they don't wanna be a band that reforms, and uses the money gained to make a bad album.





But yeah, another US tour and a new album would mean the world to me.

i would take another tour cause i really don't want to get my hopes up for an album even though that would be like the best thing ever

if they decide to keep touring i hope they release some new material. it kind of goes against what they were all about if they turn into a pixies style irrelevant touring band

i think they've still got it in them to write good music. kind of wish they had a more creative guitarist than jon hudson though

on another note, i haven't listened to these guys in ages. would've been way more excited about all this a few years ago when i was a fnm fanboy and followed every patton side-project

i was having dinner with this family friend the other night and he's like in his 60s or something and he said he was seeing a concert at the mann and i was like oh yeah i was there last year! (neglecting to mention the fact that i saw these guys cause i figured he would ask about them and they're not exactly 60 year old music), but it came up anyway and he was like oh yeah i love faith no more! and we got into this whole discussion about them. it was awesome. new respect for 60 year old men
