Yeah, the drowning babies thing doesn't come across as overdone or trying too hard. A lot of the beauty in handcuffs is how the surface meaning of the lyrics contrast so much with the delivery, and how that plays into the subtext of the song.

Yeah Lacey's delivery is what smooths it over and makes it a good song for me cos he does a fucking amazing job. I just can't stand Accardi's lyrics though, and the same applies for Daisy except even worse.
