New Bermuda didn't stick with me at all. I enjoyed the riffing and There were a couple of track I enjoyed all the way through (Luna and Come Back I think) but the more post-rock bits felt really tacked on and nothing really felt all that substantial or inspired.

Also, agreed about Kettle being a great track that should've been on the album

It was a one-off for the Adult Swim metal comp

Their compilations have surprisingly awesome line-ups though

Does anybody actually prefer New Bermuda to this cuz if so you should buy a blender and blend your dangling nuts into a dangling nut smoothie

i really don't like Kettle. The production is kinda bad and the guitar melodies sound strained and not pretty, and then it transitions really awkwardly into that heavy riff that doesn't fit their style.

New Bermuda isn't as good as this, but a lot of things aren't as good as this.

I feel like they'll go lighter/brighter on the next record since they got their "we're actually metal guys!" defensiveness out of the way.

I wouldn't mind their next album being heavy as long as it's not as disjointed as New Bermuda was.

Yeah I hope they spend more time on it, they rushed New Bermuda in a 6-month block between their tours. Even they admitted that they were working against a deadline.

Still think New Bermuda rules, even if it is a tad disjointed.

Ive played this album to death man it legitimately bores me now after listening to it about 500 times in the space of about a year. Not sure if i keep it at 5 or not, then again nobody gives the slightest fuck what i rate it do they

You're just overplaying it bro, take some time off and come back and then decide whether you wanna bump it down or not.

You shouldn't though..... ;]
