"yeah without Disc 2 this is just Radiohead for Coldplay fans"
this is a take by which I cannot abide. maybe not even necessarily untrue but disc 1 is just leagues better. they're not even in the same arena. like what the hell is "up on the ladder," thank god something like that didn't make this amazing album

Notwithstanding the fact that The Bends is pretty much literally Radiohead for Coldplay fans, I mean Coldplay basically ripped “High and Dry” for half their early career.
But yeah Disk 2 doesn’t stand up to this at all, album is perfect as is

How is this Radiohead for Coldplay fans? I mean, I'm a Coldplay fan, but

Exactly. The actual album is perfect the way it is, Disc 2's tracks, while sometimes great, are definite b-sides and they would ruin the flow of In Rainbows if they would be included.

Radiohead are just post-rock and Krautrock for Coldplay fans
|
| |
post rock is the worst genre
|
| |
imagine coming up with a take so bad people are still pouncing on it 2 pages on
|
| |
i mean im all for hot takes just for the fun of it but
|
| |
sometimes you've just gotta show a little consideration

Comparing Radiohead to Coldplay is like comparing The Beatles to The Monkees

Disc 1 is Radiohead for muse fans

It's kinda weird that Radiohead gets compared to both Muse and Coldplay when Muse and Coldplay sound nothing alike. And both kinda suck
Does this mean that combining Muse and Coldplay could yield a good album? One as good as a Radiohead album?
Probably not but I'd wanna see it anyway.

I mean, it’s mostly because Muse and Coldplay ripped from different eras of Radiohead. Coldplay = The Bends, Muse = OK Computer.

"post rock is the worst genre"

Radiohead are just post-rock and Krautrock for Coldplay fans

Read the last two pages

"Does this mean that combining Muse and Coldplay could yield a good album? One as good as a Radiohead album?"
I will literally make you a remix album to prove this point one way or another

Make sure to include Supermassive Black Hole cuz that's like the 1 Muse song I care about
|
| |
Older Muse is fun. Plug-in Baby is an eternal jam. Also have some great memories with the whole Super Massive Black Hole album.
But more specifically, Matt Bellamy is a Thom Yorke rip-off.
