Can you be more specific? Like song order?
|
| |
Yup - the way these tracks is arranged has zero continuity imo, particularly the opening pairing. RH have structured disparate albums very well in the past (Amnesiac!) but it feels like they deliberately dropped the ball on this one
|
| |
Looking back, Talons has already more or less made the same point lol oops
|
| |
I actually never even think about that unless it's particularly noted by the band, which then of course it's much more intentional and important. I couldn't even tell you which half of this album a song is in with certainty, I just have it shuffled in my phone.
|
| |
Ah fair enough then, makes v little difference for you lol
|
| |
I just want to hear those swooning longs followed by the staccato bits of strings in "The Numbers", the vocal stuff of "Identikit", etc. I like the album.

I think the flow here is almost nonexistent. The first two, too many similar energy level tracks one after the other, (7-)8-9-10, 3-4. It's too long too.
Possibly only True Love Waits is in its right place, everything else isn't (ha ha!).

Spectre is sooo good agreed. Love the drums and those orchestrations are beautiful.
Those exact features (orchestration and drums) are what I love about this.
