Nice! Yeah man, I’m glad I got to see Deftones in a bunch of smaller venues before they graduated back up to arenas in recent years. I think the first time I saw them in an arena was at the Forum when they did that co-headlining tour with Incubus years back,

First listen I was in awe, second listen "yeah this is great", 3-5 listens I kinda grew out of this so I stopped listening to it for a couple of days. I was driving late at night and decided to pop this again and it just felt perfect. Every listen ever since it almost feel like a classic album in a very short amount of time.

Yeah this album is incredible to listen to at night and especially while driving. Going from mind into locked club makes me feel like Vincent Vega going for a drive after just shooting up lol.

Yeah this was definitely immediate for me, and some of the songs that weren’t immediate (cut hands, locked club) are growing on me, while some songs I liked have grown to love (I think about you all the time, cxz, my mind is a mountain).
I think my 4.5 is pretty set in stone though, I just don’t think this is quite a 5. But, it’s close.

😂 that’s awesome. Yeah this is a great fucking driving album for sure. I think that’s why it’s grown on me more, it’s always when I’m driving and listening specifically.

I gave it ANOTHER go and it reminded me of Diamond Eyes a lot, as both are tremendously cohesive in terms of sound. There isn't a single song here that feels out of place.
