Country Song has really clicked with me now. Time to 5 it.
Still room to grow.

"maybe I'm overthinking it and need to change my whole personality"
whatever it takes! it's so fucking fun lmfao
and i feel like it doesn't overstay it's welcome to the point where it would be TOO gimmicky

Ya it makes up like 20 seconds of the song lol, it’s goofy as fuck but I doesn’t take anything away from it imo

That Björk interpolation got me so good. Enjoyed this quite a lot on first pass, kind of wish their sense of humour was more prevalent, but that might just be a result of having listened to mcclusky prior

@Hawks and @Nikkolae, yes!! Said it a few pages back but Demon is definitely top 3 for me. Amazing track that sounds even better in the context of the album

I haven't managed to get this band to click with me so far, tried the first record a couple times a while back and didn't do it for me then. Giving this a jam now and not sure what I think about the sections with clean vocals, hmmm. Couple more runs through I think before settling on an opinion.

Some of the cleans aren't necessarily my favourite style but I overall really enjoy them and Carson is a great melody writer imo.
On another note, we've all mentioned the Mars Volta and Bjork stuff on the last track, but does anyone else think the guitar chords in the intro of that song are a straight rip of sleep or storm (can't remember which one off the top of my head) by godspeed?

I ordered the orange/red Bandcamp exclusive vinyl but mentioned on here that I actually preferred the blue/green. Well, today I got delivered both?

am i the only one who kinda hates the bjork interpolation?
not to say they did it in bad faith but it just kinda reeks to me as something they put there to perk the ears of the fantano crowd, which judging by the rym comment section, absolutely worked. also think it just falls on its face in execution but again seem to be in the minority there
do not mean to keep being the guy who continuously posts negative comments despite really liking the album, more so trying to understand what i'm missing here. cool individual parts certainly but i'm kind of amazed how universally adored that song is

I’m completely unfamiliar with Bjork, what part of the album is that?

The 'I Love You' bit in the closer. Originally comes from Bjork's track called Pagan Poetry.

interesting. idk I still don’t love the closer and that doesn’t really change much for me.
I’ll have to give that a listen

the i love you bit is def my least fav part of the closer which otherwise is a slam dunk

I don't mind it tbh. I think the worst part of the closer is the feature. Just not a fan of that guys voice but even then its not that bad.

Yeah the feature on the closer sucks. That guy's voice is not good lol.
