I highly doubt they would be stopping anytime soon, slowing down maybe. If the band where to call it quits or close to it, there would be a huge hubub about it. This albums the way it is because shaking lff metal song writing rust and because he Mikael loved succsession the tv show. And they started their own label

Excellent review (as always). Generally agree with your take Garland. Perhaps it is my own historical bias towards this band, but Opeth at their most mediocre still manage to produce a record that is comfortably above average for me.

revisiting this, and probably mirroring my own comments from some pages ago, but this is literally everything I wanted from an Opeth record post - Heritage. it's not perfect, but hits in all the right spots and can definitely see myself bumping this at some point

The last one peaked higher for me. This one was just kinda okay and I kept getting fleetingly positive thoughts of encouragement but they didn't develop further.
I got back into Watershed tho off the back of this, so silver linings and all that
