Finally heard this. Yeah this album is absolutely killer. Feels like Hell and Home 2 and it will probably end up being their best album for me. I love how they managed to effectively balance an increase in melodic vocals, with such a ferocious commitment to intensity that it doesn't feel like a betrayal of the band's style at all.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the last album, just thought it felt like Counterparts on autopilot most of the time, despite some standout tracks. This really feels like their apex. Like they took everything they learned from past records and put it all together.

been years since I last listened to a record this seriously, I seem to be in a constant state of casualness for too long. this deserves all the best attitude I can give.

Yeah this album is inside the 4'2 - 4'3 range for me. The choruses are getting better with each listen. Some emotions are starting to unravel and hit deeper. First three tracks are this genre at its peak. But the tracks after are starting to sound almost as good.

there does exist a third decimal separator in addition to the comma and the period.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop listening to the 8-11 run on this album. It’s so fucking good.

Interesting, considering 11 is the weakest track for me by a wide margin

10 is responsible for blowing up, 11 for putting it together. As a closing, I think 11's mournful vibe is perfect for the theme

Will Jeet ever comment "great closer but it's not soil" again now that we have this album??

Starting with the song Mirrors, it feels like the album morphs. Flesh keeps changing rhythms like crazy throughout the song, and the changes are definitely unconventional. 8-11 is like a roller coaster. wild-chill-wild-final punch

I never really understood who (or what?) decides if an album is a "Best New Music" album on Sputnik.

From observation, I think the Trending Albums column is automatically generated by the algorithm. best New Music is manual and maybe selected by Staff.

Band is good but lets be real, they stopped evolving 3 albums ago. These songs could be interchangeable with NLTL and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Not sure how long they can keep this up before it gets stale.
