"auntie diaries is so uncomfortable, why is my man making a homophobic slur the hook"

Depicting bigotry and being a bigot are 2 fundamentally different things but crazy dumbfuck leftists on twitter seem to be unable to grasp than concept.

I wonder what it's like to get offended every time someone says a trigger word or something you disagree with, must be a blast being in constant anticipation of the next time when you're gonna get butthurt

I think context is important, otherwise we run the risk of censorship. There is a context for every word, nothing's inherently off limits.

On the other hand, there's also common cortesy, if someone feels uncomfortable it's sensitive to just let them be. It's not about disempowerment, but to empower the other that's been historically marginalized.

"one last slate but kendrick really did make a song about sexual assault and then had kodak black, a rapist, on the album"

This is the most head-scratching thing about the album

what's with all this u slander? That's one of the best moments on TPAB lol

tbh, I thought my 4.5 would fall a bit and I was just smitten by initial hype, but seven full listens on and I am still loving this. I'm glad that people seem to be warming up to this more now. There was a huge wave of people writing this off on RYM and expecting Fantano to hate it. Seeing his reaction to disc 1, I think he will land on a 9. Don't think he'll 10 it though

ended up really loving this, some of kendrick's best work yet.

the middle portion of the album is a little underdeveloped, like the kodak song and rich spirit are fine but don't really add much for me, but when the rest is so good i couldn't care less

Has he talked about why he brought Kodak on?

I'm assuming it's for similar reasons why Kanye brought on Marilyn Manson in that it's both to show that Kendrick is not someone you should idolize -"I am not your savior"- and with the theme of forgiveness/perspective that The Heart Part 5 and songs on this tackle. Now, I am not saying this is a good move or anything, I am just trying to figure out why the hell he went with Kodak Black on so many songs lol Kodak's contributions here are better than anything else I've heard from him, which admittedly not much, but it's still very much fuck Kodak Black
