I love the songs on this album — I have a new favorite each day. Yesterday it was “Peace and Tranquillity” I liked the song before but it hadn’t clicked yet. What a great album.

I've always thought Mastodon was given a longer leash from metal fans than other bands, but I still jam to Blood & Thunder and Bedazzled Fingertips every now and again so I'll be checking this out

The ''gay'' thing Brent said was dumb, but I can see why he would choose to keep some of his compositions for sth else, probably to keep the new album consistent and a team effort.

Yeah Brent seems the least poppy-loving of the band to me, I can understand if he wants to keep some of his writing for his own things. Also here he sings what, 2 songs out of 15? Plus the occasional shy harsh vocals that are buried anyway

There's a lot going on with this record. Some filler too.
The opener sucks. No, make that the first three tracks. One of those rare occasions where the latter half is much better. Kinda getting Alice in Chains vibes from 'Had It All' - in a good way!
