It has a lot of ups but also some downs, or at least moments that don't excite me so much. Yet, I feel I have to give it more time and jam it outside of summer/beach mode.

The 4:30 mark of the video for The Future Is Behind Us shows an astronaut getting swallowed by the sun.

Add that to your easter eggs fellas.

Not as bad as I was expecting on my first listen. Doesn’t seem as “wacky for the sake of being wacky” as some of their latest albums which I appreciate.

Used to be huge fans of these guys, not so much anymore. This is pretty good, you can tell they had a blast making it.

does this have the same magic as eating an absolutely fuckton of mushrooms junior year and watching the live dvd of Colors?

It might. Maybe switch it up and go bath salts this time to spice things up?

I would highly recommend at least checking the album through Fix the Error and see how you feel. That song is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better in the context of the album.

oh im peepin, just bout done with track 5. the magic definitely isn't there but it's pretty mega-cock to hail this a sequel to their magnum opus. unfortunately, nothing so far has grabbed me like that of Colors I. s'ok tho still have an entire half album to go.

if anything, it at the very least makes me wanna check out the Colors I remaster, didn't know that existed

At least we’ll always have the days of yore and the absolute fuckton of mushrooms.

yeah, just not for me unfortunately. felt super disjointed (not in a Colors I way but failed imitation) and honestly pretty fucking boring. that's just first listen however, though i don't see myself coming back to an hour and 18 min album where the only part i genuinely enjoyed was 3:53 of it

Goes hand in hand with Colors imo, of course with some of their more modern elements mixed in. Hard grower, got better with every listen for me.

definitely a grower, only problem (for me) is the length + track list. Stare into the Abyss was the only song that stood out, everything else seems like a sit down and experience the whole album.

whereas Colors 1 i can put on literally any song and experience a better high
