Curious what everyone thinks of the escapism ep. For those who think this should be trimmed, there ya go!

yea I really love this album. I could live without the run from illicit affairs to mad woman + maybe hoax, but all of those are still at least good, and the rest has some str8 SOTY contenders

by my maths that makes this her best release cos every other one I've heard had some truly dreadful misses

Epiphany is like Taylor Swift trying to do a Goldfrapp song and it is better than most Taylor songs for exactly that reason

LOVE Illicit Affairs, top 3 here for me, but Invisible String and Mad Woman are the record's b-sides. Peace has grown on me a lot. The instrumentals are gorgeous and I kind of wish it let them breathe a little as it is super vocal-centric.

I'm really liking these chapter playlists too. Some of these songs can tend to be buried at the end of such a long album and these really help them stand out on their own.

I like illicit affairs lyrics but the arrangement is a bit uneventful for me, I think betty does the same vibe a lot better. again nothing's like obnoxiously London Boy-tier bad though. I think peace might be the best on here for me

Alright this has super grown on me. Well written songs with mostly excellent lyricism and the vocal performance has the emotional oomph these sparse tracks require while maintaining Taylor's fun and dramatic qualities.

London Boy is a bop and one of the best on Lover, how dare you

Yeah with repeat listens the album grows. Still not in love with it, but it is some above average indie folk/indie pop so I’m okay with it. She probably won’t top 1989 ever for me though
