instrumental sounds like your uncle jamming with his friend Dale in the garage after some bud lights, vocal melody doesn’t tie into that instrumental at all and sounds like an AI generated country melody and the background vocals are hilariously shoehorned in. just a saggy ass tune all around

Just got a ticket to see Amanda Shires tomorrow and guess who’s opening up for her! I’m sure he’ll play some from this but I look forward to hearing some more of the new material.

Update: Honey’s set was awesome! He claimed he was getting over losing his voice as was only at 60% but still sounded amazing. I saw him outside the venue after the show and got to shake his hand. :-D
It was a short set, only about 35 minutes, and I’m pretty sure he actually didn’t play anything from this, but the new material all sounded great. Maybe not quite as magical as this but I’m confident it’s going to be at least a solid psych country rock record. The single was one of the weaker ones for sure so if that’s putting anybody off I wouldn’t lose hope. I’m especially excited to hear “Ain’t No Cowboys In Georgia” and “Tired of Feeling Good” on record.
