Well said, Shibole.
Although
>The keyboards are rarely doing anything I would deem pianistic (they mostly just seem to be guitar parts with a worse timbre), and that is probably because Mikael is not a pianist.
that's never gonna fly around here. I mean, it's a four-syllable word for one.

Even the piano itself in Lovelorn Crime isn't particularly deep tbh imo. Like the first few seconds of Burden carry a stronger punch alone.

I've always liked Heart In Hand, but I like it even more now within the context of the album. The vocal melodies are beautiful and the acoustic outro is amazing.

Well I checked the Swedish version and guess what?... much the same. I liked it for the novelty, but think although I must be nonplussed by the lyricism here, it also didn’t do anything to bring the other version down.
In fact it’s weird there isn’t a greater difference, does anyone know if the lyrics have been adapted? Surely he can’t be saying exactly the same thing in two languages, the flow would be all over the place. Then again I have no idea what Swedish is like.

Demon I read that he had to do some small adjustments for the English version, so it's super close but not the same.

I wonder if it’s structured similarly, just curious.
Anyway I’ve settled on a rating for this, could still go either way in time I guess but happy to say it’s up there with Heritage.

I wondered the same thing dude. I mean just look at the song titles between Heart in Hand (3 syllables) and Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör, (8? Syllables) and then there's the syntax, and then there is an entire album of that

''For a long time there was only the Swedish version, but then I figured the effort of dong an English version wouldn't be that bad. It's still the same music, the same message in there. The translations weren't all easy - there were a few problems - but I did it in a day. I gave myself poetic freedom to move things around a bit because it was the second take of an album that was finished. My version of it, though, is the Swedish version.'' - M. Guys how amazing are the orchestral arrangements here?! One of the reasons why this is as joyously colourful as it is. Those in Minnets Yta for instance. Gorgeous. I'm impressed that Mike arranged them himself!
