I am metal and my gf is not, it's very disappointing. BUT, the key is knowing melodic and crossover music.
She also doesn't love how much I enjoy all the green grass outside.... Can't help it though, that shit is good.

Yeah this and House of Sugar within a couple weeks of each other totally changed the game for 2019, before them there was nothing I would have been terribly happy to call AOTY but now both are strong candidates.

The Alex G is good but I still prefer the Avey Tare and the Purple Mountains albums to it to name just two in a similar ballpark
