Hawks, albums like Far Away from the Sun and Memoria Vetusta from '96 are far more worthy of a 5.

I love both of those but no they’re not. You can feel free to 5 them though.

I've always enjoyed the throw backs to this album on Cruelty. Instead of bass in the booklet credits, Robin Graves is attributed as "Nocturnal Pulse", and there's the instrumental called "Portrait of the Dead Countess", both lyrics from A Gothic Romance. Wouldn't be surprised if there were more.

This is pretty great most of the time but this is the spectrum of bm that can be a little irritating sometimes haha

I could listen to this all day every day and not get sick of it. And agreed Tuna along with Pale Folklore and some others.

I really gotta be in the mood for these types of vox. It’s not like Dissection or Ulver which I can jump into at any time.

Try out their past 2 albums if you haven’t Mongi. The vox are still high pitched but not nearly as much as they were here. Plus a lot more death growls which Dani is excellent at.

Yeah Hammer and Cryptoriana are both classics and the best this band has sounded in almost 2 decades, highly recommended.
