I wish Kurt would've come on stage when they played Uneasy Hearts at swanfest...

Shelf Life as a whole and the intro/outro of Count Bassy are like the only unpredictable parts on this album

Kurt has sounded so good live since like 2013. Theres a few vidoes of hiim doing uneasy hearts with zac garren(who was also at swanfest LOL) and he sounds amazing doing it now. Im already so excited for a new album. Artificial is mad good though.

Tilian is my favorite band person to follow on Twitter. The guy has a great sense of humor.

Honestly at this point I couldnt imagine DGD without Tilian. he surpassed Kurt as my fav lead singer easily. just too good.

yeah I guess I’m about there with you. Tilian has been with the band so long now that he is an irreplaceable piece. I honestly don’t think the band could, or would continue without him. I’ll always be a Kurt fanboy, and a part of me will always wonder what they could’ve made if he had stayed, but Tilian is the best vocalist this band has had overall. The dude really has made the band his own.

Yeah I feel whatever happens Tilian is the permanent lead singer for these guys, he's got such an irreplaceable voice that he should be taking much better care of

In my mind Mothership was the proper introduction to Tilian's contribution to the band, and Artificial Selection only solidified his place as a permanent fixture. Acceptance Speech & IG are too shaky and inconsistent, whereas Mothership and Artificial are two of their strongest releases to date.

Like after years of listening to DGD and enjoying the Johnny albums. Though both have highs and lows for me, I Really felt like the Kurt songs resonates with me the most. And then The Tilian Era came and I wanted to keep thinking I was the cool guy who stuck with the Kurt albums but fuck, the songs and emotion and melodies that Tilian combines with the new era of songs since acceptance speech have floored me. Mothership is their magnum opus IMO and the other 3 albums have only solidified Tilians power in the band for me.

Kurt is a decent vocalist but to me he's so one-note...he uses the same part of his vocal range near-exclusively which makes his voice sound much more limited than it actually is, and he has so little tonal variation
His era also produced their worst albums imo
