Yeah I know living in London costs a hell of a lot more, but career opportunities for me and the Mrs are infinitely better than what they are here (sad state of the UK economy), and after costings then we can still do it without too much financial strain!
Back to the album, on listen 14 now and it's great still discovering new layers in many of the songs. AOTY for sure.

Well, hopefully you'll adapt to that different (and way more chaotic) lifestyle in no time, friend. Wish you nothing but the best on all your new endeavours.
And yeah, i'm probably on listen 30 right now and at first I thought that the hype would eventually wind off, but I'm still as excited to listen to it as I was when I checked it out for the first time.

I think I'm starting to see where people think this album is lacking. It kinda lacks that energetic punch the other MO albums had.
Virgin: "Wolves at Night" and "Now That You're Home"
METN: the singles, "Pride" and "Everything to Nothing"
SM: "April Fool", "Pensacola" and "Mighty"
COPE: Pretty much every track, so kinda samey but still pretty fast/energizing
This one gels well with me because I've kinda grown away from that and more into calmer, mellow music. I'd call the stretch of "The Gold" through "Lead, SD" the most energetic on the album and even that feels a bit subdued. It seems like a good combination of everything pre-COPE and RAGC!, which appeals to me greatly. I can definitely understand that not sticking as well for a lot of people, though.

This album is like a miserable reception with alcohol free punch, no children and balloons plentiful.

I don't think that every single album in history needs "some punch" this one's a way more reserved, cinematic, introverted experience. Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool has "no punch" then, so that makes it "whimpy and bad." That, to me, sounds like a rather limited criteria regarding music in general.

"wait how is no children at a reception a negative?"
well, children reminds us that there are good sides to life too, usually whenever it seems we've forgotten it.

there are many things that remind me that there are good sides to life. children are not one of them. wedding receptions exist to get shitblasted for free and embarrass one's family.
