The reissued version of Sovereign ep (with misgiven included) is five songs and almost 40 minutes long, so if this is a full length then that version of Sovereign is also a full length, isn't it? I'm confused because it's odd to have such a short album from these guys lol

Anyways, Honor Found In Decay was a slight disappointment for me so I'm glad they went back to awesome again.

Re vocals, they're pretty much the only band in this 'genre' whose vocals I genuinely like and they're all decipherable, too. No dumb growls or shrieking. Their 'harsh' vocals are just an extension of the gravelly cleans, so it's all seamless. If you take the ISIS vocals as a comparison, it sounded like two completely different vocalists/bands in one track, which was just jarring and weak to me. Kelly and Von Till are both top tier vocalists.

Scott Kelly is definitely a better vocalist than Turner, but Turner's bellows are way bigger

I thought his vocals were great on Celestial, especially the intro to The Tower. Fuck, that album is good.

I found this quite boring. The production sounds too dry. 2.5 if I've ever heard one.

Album seems pretty decent on first couple of listens. It may grow on me but it is definitely a solid 4 atm.

Had a lot of moments that reminded that Shrinebuilder album which isnt inherently a bad thing, but this album isnt on the level of some of their older stuff.

Broken Ground is a perfect track, has a snippet of every sound Neurosis has ever dabbled with.
