Love the vocals on low lands as well, really great atmosphere. Joe has improved massively as a singer over the years

He's less ferocious, but it fits the music more.

Yeah, I really feel his cleans flow with this less aggressive style more. The Shooting Star really shows it off which I thought was the perfect opener for this album.
That being said, Silvera is the total opposite and crushes.

Goddamnit I really have to force myself to like this shit before I see them in concert. Gah.

Their live show was the best I've ever been to. Maybe it's because I was genuinely amped as fuck, loved the music and stage dived for the first time, but all the same, the show was insane.
All the same, you shouldn't force yourself like to something. I think giving it some time does help. Sometimes, I'm really not in the right mind to give something an honest chance.

Fuck, totally thought I hit an ETID link.
Ok, I've never seen these guys live but I would fucking kill to see "Flying Whales" live. These guys have badass riffs

Seen them 3 times, Flying Whales has the most fun pit I've ever been in (all 3 times)

Yeah bands I must see live is Protest The Hero and Gojira. I already got Devin Townsend, Every Time I Die, and Between The Buried And Me knocked off my list.

Missed Gojira on Thursday night because of work, really sucks. I saw them open for Mastadon once and I don't think the crowd could get into Mastodon because Gojira destroyed so hard.
|
| |
Hahahahahaha. That reminds me of one of the metal festivals I went to a long while ago (maybe Mayhem?). Slayer had the stage before Marilyn Manson headlined and half the crowd left after Slayer lmfao.

Hard to imagine Gojira playing a better show than Mastodon tbh. I've seen Mastodon 3 times and they've killed it every time.

Mastodon was cool, but Gojiras intensity and crowd interactions were way better.

I had that same experience on that tour. Saw them open up for Mastodon as well in Boston, Gojira fucking decimated them.
|
| |
Gojira ends on Flying Whale and then Mastodon opens with Blood And Thunder. Winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Lol Gojira are like one of the best live bands around, Mastodon live are sooooo boring w/ zero stage presence.

Damn that's whale as fuck [2]
