As part of Arcade Fire Will Butler is pretty cool but on his own he's pretty lame.

I was originally into the more tranquil stuff on this but Ful Stop and Identikit have really been grabbing me recently

Identikit is still a bit underwhelming but that guitar is catchy as heck.

Finally decided on a 4.0. Kept leaning towards the 3.5, but there's some really good subtle melodies going on here that keep me coming back. For now it's a 4.

it's a highlight here, but it's certainly not their best song since Kid A. In fact it's probably worse than most of their post-Kid A songs, even if you include In Rainbows.

I still really love Tinker Tailor, I've heard this album a good 10 times now and I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to back to it too often honestly...

Well according to my last.fm, my least listened to song from the album is actually True Love Waits lol (14 listens) so I'm pretty sure my full listens were only about 10 from start to finish : )

it's funny, i was really underwhelmed by the melodies on this at first, but now they're like my favorite part. Decks Dark and Identikit are prolly their two most vocally catchy songs in a long, long time. i could actually see those songs on the radio. Burn the Witch too obvs

^ basically

this album is bound to sound sweet in altered states cuz it's so lush and detailed. and i never really thought about the effect of something like this too much, but it also made me realize this is probably Radiohead's most empathetic album. usually Radiohead just puts on a show and slides on by, or they ironically try to break into the background or something. but this album is essentially them wrapping you up in a blanket and it's awesome
