"Some people really can't handle change"
if by change you mean generic post-hardcore emo teen pop then sure

Change is great if its progressive. But change in and of itself as an idea is neither good nor bad. Defending change because it is change and you think it deserves defense is stupid and you need to rethink your undercooked evaluation.

"yeah i heard Throne on a wrestling commercial"
Ya that must have been for the NXT ppv a few days ago. Incredible exposure for the band I'd say

Keep in mind that I have yet to hear this record...
"Change is great if its progressive"
You're too hung up on the definition of 'change' in this sentence... The key word is actually 'progressive'. So I googled it's definition & the first result was: "happening or developing gradually or in stages".
On that, this is clearly & unequivocally a progressive change, therefore it is - by your theory - great.

Doomed has grown on me a lot. Definitely one of their best songs

@S13igHer, I did like Sempitneral, it was flawed but it did have some great stuff on it. But to me that's really their only good album, wasn't a big fan of their other albums and I honestly think this is their worst album.

I guess in a certain stand point this is a much more generic version of Semp, except the lyrics are awful, the syth-pop elements overpower almost every raw aspect in the instrumentation (or lack thereorf) and they pretty much ripoff Linkin Park and Deftones.

Well if you want to go ahead. Who knows you might actually like it, I just found it awful.

deathschool, nice try bruh. Try harder next time, you might actually get somewhere. Completely missed the point.

Fair point, Daveyboy. But I'd like to point out that if we are going strictly by the definition of the word and comparing this album purely from a subjective standpoint (the only way to do it), this just as easily falls under the term "regressive". The opposite of progressive (but still technically change, which is why I said that change should not be praised simply because it is change).
But change or no change, this band has always sucked.

Can't you just as easily state that it took all of the worst aspects of this band's previous work and put them as the focal point? Do you get what I mean by saying that this logic puts it in the realm of a my opinion against yours argument?

regressive quality

Because it's absurdly cheesy for the most part with terrible lyrics. They might have gone in a new direction but doesn't mean it feels adventurous, in fact, it feels oddly...... regressive!

I couldn't help but google "regressive" & 1st result was: "returning to a former or less developed state".
Ooh, this one could go either way. The "or" might save you this time.
Anyway, I'll listen to this in the next week or two... One thing I will say is that anyone who doesn't think that this album could make them really big is kidding themselves. 'Throne' alone will do it to some degree.
