Eh idk Jac might dig this tbh. He appreciates riffs as much as the next person. m/

Been jamming this and Cryptoriana so much the past few days, can't get enough of them.

I'm not sure if it was the two years of repeated listening or what, but I think I still like this more than Cryptoriana. There are some songs on that album I like more than stuff on here ("Western Vespertine") but as a package, I think I like this more.

Same here Brandon. They're both perfect though.

Can't wait for the new record in 2020 or something, will complete the near-perfect late career trilogy m/

Darkly and Manticore are both bad yeah but they've really stepped it up with this one and Cryptoriana.

If we're gonna talk underrated Cradle then that title has to go to Thornography, album rulessssss.

I've always been aware that Cradle of Filth exists, but never listened to them. For whatever reason, I assumed they would be terrible. But I recently downloaded their discography on a whim and have been listening to this album and I love it. I'm not sure what I want to rate it, but as of now, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

^^^ Nice. CoF are honestly shat on way too hard at times. Some of their later stuff (Darkly & Manticore mainly) are legit terrible and most people consider Damnation - Godspeed to be hit or miss (I like them all except Damnation) but their first four and their last two are indisputably amazing.

I've listened a couple songs here and there from some of their other albums just to see if I got lucky with liking this one, but it all sounds really solid so far. I'll properly check out their other albums soon.

I'm surprised by how much I like it because it can be so over the top and...theatrical? Not sure how to describe what I mean. But so far so good.

Seems like you're going through a perfectly normal CoF procedure.
