lambs - betrayed from birth (blackened core, sorta convergecore, from their bandcamp - "LAMBS is a four piece hailing from Italy, playing blackened post hardcore with punk attitude and unrelenting stage presence in the veins of bands like Cursed, Botch, GAZA, Breach and YAITW.")
bleak - we deserve our failures (ridiculously heavy metalcore, sludgy and crushing)
contwig - freibad (mathcore from italy or somewhere in that general area, pretty cool)
the armed - untitled (pretty erratic core, one of my favs)
palm reader - besides the one we love (bit mathy, bit not, sorts reminds me of norma jean at times but not a lot, very solid tho)
the crinn - shadow breather (this is best core of the year for me so far, and the sputnik charts agree so yeah check this first. quite grindy)

Wolf King was great, Coward not so much. It had some good songs, but the album as a whole fell flat.

it just made it more inconsistent for me. I applaud them for their ambition, but it did work for me. I also felt the production was bland and unoriginal as well.

"Do you listen to any black metal Toon?"
Not on a regular basis, though I do enjoy Wolves in the Throne Room.

are there any metalcore bands that are influenced by Opeth and other progressive bands like them? (No BTBAM)
