To stay out late and not come home
To wander Calvin Grove alone
I'm young enough to still believe some
Faded glory may just shelter me...
This album man.

In amber light shot through with rain
I swear I don't intend to waste a syllable
Each word is blessed
The truth must blaze through every single breath
Unbending, stark
A lit steeple against unending dark
And someone sprayed this on the wall:
"I love it here"
I don't at all
Seriously.

Scottish accents suck though for the most part.

Having one is remarkably useful for attracting female attention outside of the UK, that's about the sole advantage.

That's more because he has an excellent singing voice than the actual accent though. We'd be expressing the exact same sentiments if it were an English accent.

I find chicks in general (esp. Americans) prefer Irish ones over any type of British accent. Scottish ranks second or
something usually so it's not too much of a barrier :]
"Mate, have you not seen Trainspotting?"
Of course, nobody over 15 in this country hasn't seen or read Trainspotting.
One thing I always found slightly irritating about bands hailing from Scotland is that I feel the vocalists are almost always
guilty of exaggeration - Frightened Rabbit, Twin Atlantic (check "Crash Land", it's so forced it makes me cringe), this band
although to a slightly lesser extent

I wasn't talking solely about their value based on how much chicks dig them (hard as that might be to believe)

But on that note apparently Australian accents go over pretty well in other countries so I'm set

I'd imagine that to be the case. Any change from the ordinary or customary seems appealing.
Also check my edited afterthought if you have four minutes to amuse yourself with

Crash Land you say? well why not
although having never been to Scotland and knowing what a "normal" Scottish accent sounds like I don't have much basis comparison
