I love the callbacks to XXX. I already like it more than Old after one listen.

Hell For It works as a closer, I just think the issue is that Get Hi and Today dont really set anything up well.

Today is one of my favorites.

Today is a good track, just feels kinda out of place in the line up. Get Hi is the only track on this album id consider weak.

Yeah, Get Hi is sort of whatever, but it might grow on me.

Start here or with the new one. They're both amazing.

B-Real adds absolutely nothing to that track imo
I would definitely start here if you haven't ever checked him before. Think this album sets up Atrocity Exhibition pretty well with Old just kind of being "there".

Old has some killer tracks. I wouldn't sleep on it, but I think it's quickly going to become sort of the weak link, considering how fucking good AE turned out to be.

I'll jam this today then

Old just had no business being 20 tracks, honestly. You could condense a lot of it to a smaller album and it can match XXX and AE pretty easily.

old has my favourite danny track with side a and several others are bangers but yeah it's a little bloated and less cohesive

He just went a little too hard on the whole SIDE B IS THE PARTY SIDE gimmick, but Side A is amazing, while side b still has its moments.

Just think Old is missing a lot of Danny's personality. Like he definitely has bars on that album but he never really goes as deep on that album as he does on XXX and AE from an emotional standpoint.

I think the strong points of Old are when he isnt trying to stick to the script he set up for XXX. Stuff like Side A, The Return, Gremlins, 25 Bucks, Torture, Clean Up, and Float On where youre looking more into the history of Danny Brown instead of the product of what his life made him become on XXX.

the trap shit on old sounds dated as fuck

Side A is easily as good as XXX but Side B is like uh

Neither side matches XXX
