Oh man, I love Punchup at a Wedding. Lyrics don't bother me and the vibe is delish

Punchup grooves and is pretty unique across their discography. Lyrics are whatever but I like singing along to it.

some internet troll wrote a mean review/comment about their oxford performance and it forever ruined that day in Thom's mind, so he wrote a song about it. I can see a metalcore dude writing an angry song fueled by a random troll, but fucking Thom Yorke? just seems silly and immature. And he didn't even try with the lyrics.

"I don't know why you bother

Nothing's ever good enough for you.

(By the way) I was there and

It wasn't like that.

You've come here just to start a fight

You had to piss on our parade

You had to shred our big day

You had to ruin it for all concerned"

Honestly, I kinda love that backstory

Thom's allowed to step out of his fan-created god reputation every once in a while to interact w/ us mere mortals

I've always liked Punchup, a pleasant, straightforward song amongst all the weirdness. Could've shaved off like 2 minutes from it though.

Backdrifts & The Gloaming are weird, and Wolf at the Door was totally new vocally for Thom. I wouldn't say this is any more forgettable than Amnesiac.

Yeah but Amnesiac has "I Might Be Wrong" and this doesn't

This is like their weirdest album. Amnesiac is slightly better I'm thinking; this is pretty scattered and overlong despite having some of their best songs like There There and Scatterbrain. Still fantastic of course.
