It's more riff-oriented than Construct or Damage Done or Haven or Projector.

That notion can't be based off the released songs tho

Decided the new track is fucking awesome. Also, the album is supposed to have a few of their most ripping tracks in awhile but still maintains the moodier elements of Construct according to the reviews I've read. I personally like a good dynamic range in their music, makes their stuff more interesting than when it's a straight riff-fest like Character.

I disagree, especially regarding Damage Done. There are some incredible riffs on that record (monochromatic stains, white noise/black silence, etc.) that atoma simply doesn't possess. On Atoma, there are very few quality riffs. I agree it is stripped-down in comparison to this and lacks any real standout moments but as a whole it is good. Not especially notable within their discography, but still good. Stanne's cleans are arguably the best they've ever been in DT's entire career.

Damn if it's worse than this then I'll probably hate it
New track was pretty damn boring too.

i think it is safe to say if you don't like "forward momentum" you won't like the album

So if I liked it a lot I'm good right
Crysis is it true that there are a few ripping tracks on here? Heard the opener is pretty dang good

Well that's depressing. Not a bad track in general but I expect more from this band

I really dug it, I think I'm going to really like the new album. The singles have all struck a really nice chord for me.

I enjoyed all of them and some of the early reviews seemed to point out that there's a bit more variety that the singles haven't shown yet.

Crysis, are you reviewing it or am I? I think you're the better option. If I rate the new DT lower than the new Korn, Sputnik might mutiny.

Hahaha I will be reviewing it for sure but i think jacquibim has first dibs on it. I still need to listen to the record more.

imo there is not much variety on the entire record, the singles are representative of the album's style

I still need to get my thoughts on it clear because the new Ulcerate had taken up all my jam time over the last three weeks but the prognosis isn't great m'fraid

Ha ha. It has the main guitar player/writer from Killswitch and the singer from Cannibal Corpse and the drummer from The Black Dahlia Murder and all the lyrics were written by the vocalist from Killswitch. It's pretty damn cool.

Can someone who likes Atoma plz review it
If not I will but I haven't even heard it yet so who knows I could hate it

There are a couple, but due to the lack of memorable guitar riffs there are none on the level of a "White Noise/Black Silence", "The Silence In Between", "Lost to Apathy", or "Terminus". This album is vocally-driven and in terms of atmosphere it is a bit ominous.
