Brush Away? That’s an uncommon pick. I feel like that and So Close are almost unanimously the worst here.
Still good tracks tho

Over Now is the closest I can come to describing this, but it sounds like the guitar is just crying. The leads are so depressing but so beautiful. Jerry is truly one of a kind.

Amazing album. I toggle between this and Dirt as being my favorite.

Dirt is pretty easily mine, but the best songs on here are just as good as anything on dirt.
Mainly Sludge Factory, God Am, Shane in You, Head Creeps, and Over Now. All are fucking classics

Agreed on all those tracks, especially Sludge, Head Creeps and Shame in You. Grind and Again were awesome singles too.
But man, don’t forget about Frogs! That and Sludge Factory are my two favorites here.

Yeah frogs is fucking rad too, but honestly it’s one of the few tracks where I like the unplugged version more. Pretty much just that and Got Me Wrong

Wildcard is right, it’s awesome. I do prefer the album version though.
Dude you haven’t heard AiC Unplugged? Get on that stat. One of the best unplugged I’ve seen. I suggest watching it tho vs listening only.

Dude it’s fucking amazing. Layne is a little weak but his voice fits the vibe of the instrumentals so well.

Oh 1996. Yeah i think he was in pretty terrible shape by then

Most definitely. And I think they all knew that was likely their last time playing together. It was in fact the first time they had played together in awhile, and Layne had to be talked into it. Knowing that, the show is extremely bittersweet, emotional and heartbreaking. In this case, the show becomes about a lot more than just the music. You gotta watch it — it’s on YouTube.

Yeah, though it wasn’t the last time they played together. They supported Kiss for a few dates later that year. My boss actually caught them on the second to last show on that tour, pretty crazy he unknowingly saw one of Layne’s last performances.
Throughout that entire last run, Layne supposedly had a lot of trouble hitting high notes, the way he changes harmonies on the fly is incredible and it still somehow fits the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zx-oVwhdLc&app=desktop

He was the greatest vocalist to ever live in my opinion. It honestly hurts knowing I’ll never get to see him perform.

Ahh yes, forgot about those Kiss dates. Though it was just a few, obviously still counts.
Layne is one of my favorites along with Maynard, Chino, Cornell and Chester B.

Started watching mtv unplugged last night but I haven't finished it. Pretty good. It was funny when they had to restart Sludge Factory and Jerry was like "hey you just get to hear more now" or whatever
