Crate amps have a really bad reputation for sure bloc. The GX130c was used on this album and some other classics though and is one of their only amps that's actually quality apparently. It rules though and I can confirm. Haven't tried their others but hear they're bad. gX is based off the Ampeg amp that Dying Fetus and a bunch of other dm bands used in the 90s

Ah, I didn't realize they made "cult classic" amp back in the day. That's pretty sweet. I just looked for some used ones and they aren't even that expensive either

Yessir. they're worth a try if you're looking for a solid state that packs a punch. Throw an overdrive on it and welcome to riff city

Even if you aren't a huge fan you still can't deny their consistency.
30+ years and still going strong.

They've grown on me considerably over time tbh. I was always lukewarm about them when I was younger, but man, so many of the riffs are just undeniable

30+ years of being alright is still something.

Better than becoming completely stale for sure. The fact that they could come out with something like Violence Unimagined after 30+ years of activity is pretty crazy to me
