I can see the Fall of Troy connection. But Story of the Year and Unearth?
Probably not.

About SOTY, I dunno, some of the drum beats and the high singing just "popped" that into my head. I mean, PTH kills SOTY, but there are parts in a few of the songs (the pop punky parts) that sound just like SOTY from their 2nd cd.
I guess PTH doesnt sound like any one of those bands all the time, but they're changing around so much with their cool breakdowns, fast guitar riffs, and poppy-ish singing/screaming that make it difficult to nail their style down. I'm just using my limited musical knowledge to generalize here...

On another note, the last two minutes of "Turn Soonest to the Sea" is one of the most beautiful, epic, and catchy moments i can think of in music. Pure fucking ectasy. I cannot between "Turn Soonest to the Sea" or "The divine Suicide of K" as my favorite song here.
This is the best album i've picked up in a long time.

Turn Soonest to the Sea for me. It's perfect, and the ending is the icing on the cake. Im not gonna lie, my favorite used to be The Divine Suicide of K though. Hell, its too hard to choose on such an awesome album.

nautical for me...i mean...its like the most fast paced song on the album and the bass is crazy and the vocals never stop
the shred and the growl section in the song is crazy

A Plateful of Dead and She Who Mars the Skin of Gods have been my favorite for a little while now, but then again, i'm pretty sure every song on this album has been my favorite at one point.

Currently for me after 5 listens and owning the album for a little over 24 hours...i
would say these are my favorites in order.
The Divine Suicide of K
Turn Soonest to the Sea
No Stars Over Bethlehem
She Who Mars the Skin of Gods
Blindfolds Aside
A Plateful of Our Dead
Bury the Hatchet
Divinity Within
Heretics and Killers
Nautical
But really, all of them are amazing. Turn Soonest to the Sea and The Divine
Suicide of K are in another league, however. This Message Edited On 12.20.07
