I like Hinduism. Why? You are encouraged to believe in what gets YOU through the day. You aren't penalized for your beliefs. Christianity is a very judgmental religion because of the concept of sin. It's an imaginary burden that frighten people to mold their ideology to a singular way of life.

I get what you mean, Potato. I personally am not that kind of Christian. I'm not racist, I'm not against gay marriage, etc. I think a lot of that stuff is really dumb.

I'm not a christian, I hate strong christian overtones in music because I cannot relate to them, Dustin's lyrics are mostly religiously based but he words them in such a way that his struggles with faith can be transposed on to something more relatable to me, even if i recognize the bible verses that he's built his songs around. If you are a christian or get the allusions that he's singing about then by all means feel free to find whatever solace it is that you can find with them, but don't think that someone can't interpret them differently to fit their own situation. in doing so you're just pigeonholing the band into a niche that they themselves don't even want to be in. thrice are not a christian band. they do have christian themes in their music but they are not singling themselves to a single audience through their music (although there are some songs on Vheissu that get ridiculously jesus-y)
