you rated donuts a 2.5 which seems like you're not crazy about it either. I love Madlib and I do think he's a genius beat maker but I never thought Dilla had nearly the same level of talent and I wasn't that into Jaylib. I know J Dilla is loved and influential but that doesn't mean I have to think his stuff is well done. Imo his music is messy and poor and I can't help it because that's how it sounds to me, regardless of how important he was to the genre. I like hip-hop but I'm usually not very interested in sample-based production anyways so that's the biggest reason I don't like these, unless it's madlib or a few other artists. I'm not ignorant or bitter I've tried plenty of stuff from both artists and they're not really my thing. I do actually like some songs from The Outsider but that album is pretty hated.

well yes I don't ever claim to speak objectively about music as I don't really believe in that. I haven't heard Labcabincalifornia yet so I haven't heard his stuff for the Pharcyde but I love their first album. Oh that's weird I've never had sputnik change any of my ratings as far as I know
