I think Lightening is by far the best.

huge laffo@ this being a 5. the proper adjectives to describe it are, decent, uninspired, plodding, and straight up boring. so many other BM releases this year are superior to this, that I would not think of giving a 5.

I've listened to this shit like 5 times and the guitar tone and simplicity of the riff structure makes it sound like you're listening to the same like 5 riffs over and over again.

the review sounds like someone gushing because they've never heard epic/melodic BM before

Many different opinions. Enslaved, may not be the best band in Metal, but they may be the most consistent, in terms, of quality releases. I'm a HUGE fan, and I may be biased, the only thing that may top this is the new Deathspell Omega. Thus far in 2010 Enslaved is no1.

Only heard the first song off the album today... I loved it. I think its safe to say I can purchase this seeing as its getting such good praise and I like this band anyway.

Bought this album yesterday and I am on my 3rd listen. It gets better each time. Lightening gives me goosebumps. And there's so much underlying atmospheric stuff going on within the songs. I love it.
